OK Pop Culture Week-ers, you know I m a huge Marvel Studios fan, as so many of you are. So when rumors surrounded that Marvel Studios was going to have a lot of stuff to announce on Disney Investor Day, you know how excited I was. What I didn t expect was that Marvel Studios would announce more than 10 movies, series and specials through 2023. I mean, it was one exciting announcement after another.
So, without further ado, let s dig in to the more than 10 movies, series and specials Marvel Studios announced at Disney Investor Day!

For the first time in a decade, there was no release from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) for an entire year. With both
Black Widow and
Eternals getting pushed to next year, fans are eager for any and every tiny update from Marvel Entertainment and Disney. The studio recently announced the release date of their first OTT show
WandaVision as January 15, and now, they have dropped new trailers for two more shows- Loki and
The Falcon And The Winter Soldier.

Black Panther may be recast. However, over the past few months, Marvel Studios and
Disneyhave remained quiet.
Then, last month, the companies celebrated what would’ve been Boseman’s 44th birthday with a reworked version of
Black Panther‘s opening credits. The touching tribute was a reminder to all that Boseman’s legacy and portrayal in Black Panther will never be forgotten.
Now, Marvel Studios has finally revealed some of the plans in motion for
Black Panther 2. During a presentation at Disney Investor Day, Marvel Studios head
Kevin Feige confirmed that Boseman’s role will not be recast.
“[Boseman’s] portrayal of T’Challa the Black Panther is iconic and transcends any iteration of the character in any other medium from Marvel’s past, and it’s for that reason, that we will not recast the character,” Feige said. “However, to honor the legacy that Chad helped us build, we want to continue to explore the world of Wakanda and all the rich and varied c

The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, like the spin-off shows about Loki, Hawkeye, and Obi-Wan, but those are just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. During this afternoon’s big Disney Investor Day presentation, the company teased that it has “roughly” 10 Marvel shows, 10
Star Wars shows, 15 Disney/Disney Animation/Pixar shows, and 15 Disney/Disney Animation/Pixar movies in the works for Disney+.

Hawkeye and whatnot probably aren’t included in those totals, but that’s still a
ton of stuff either way and Disney is currently in the middle of announcing stuff, so some of these blanks are being filled in today. Annoyingly, though, Disney is only willing to say that they’ll be released “over the next few years,” so we don’t know if we’re looking at the next decade of Disney+ or the next 30-odd months.
