Falmouth police are investigating a large fight that broke out at Old Silver Beach early Tuesday evening, June 29. Officers received a report of about 20 people fighting on the beach at 5:30 PM Tuesday. It was reported that one of the men was carrying a firearm. After speaking with witnesses, officers spoke with a man who matched the description of the suspect, Falmouth Police Lieutenant Douglas DeCosta said in an email. Police searched the man and his vehicle, but did not find a weapon. The lieutenant said another witness reported two men wearing shirts wrapped around their head with only their eyes exposed had walked into the large group and caused a disturbance that started the fight.
