Daren McDonald Pleads Not Guilty To Witness Intimidation

Daren J. McDonald of Falmouth on Tuesday, March 9, pleaded not guilty in Falmouth District Court to charges of intimidating a witness in connection with an August incident at a party in which two Falmouth teenagers allegedly beat another teen unconscious. Mr. McDonald is the father of one of the juvenile suspects who is being charged with assault and battery in juvenile court. The teens allegedly repeatedly punched and kicked another teen in the head until—and after—he was unconscious. He suffered a concussion and two fractures in his jaw and was later admitted to Massachusetts General Hospital for possible brain bleeding.

Falmouth father to be arraigned after new evidence in teen assault case

An arraignment will be held next month in the case of a Falmouth man charged in connection with an August fight that left a Franklin teen unconscious after new evidence was presented in the case. Falmouth police originally filed a criminal complaint in October against McDonald, but the charges of witness interference and obstruction of justice were dropped after it was determined in a clerk magistrate hearing in December that there was not probable cause to move forward with the complaint. McDonald is the father of one of two Falmouth teens facing assault and battery charges for an assault that occurred at a house party in August. The teens allegedly kicked and beat the teen from Franklin, who was hospitalized with head injuries and a broken jaw that required surgery.
