Picture: SUPPLIED Civil servants picked to promote and ensure gender equality among Fijian communities have been urged to be catalysts in the process of transformative gender mainstreaming. While opening the three day Gender Transformative Institutional Capacity Development Orientation workshop for government officials in Nadi on Monday, Minister for Women Mereseini Vuniwaqa said this was the start of a very significant journey for the Fijian Government. “We are going to take ownership of this and I am going to hold you accountable for the next two years of what we are going to achieve through this exercise,” said Mrs Vuniwaqa.
