Police to closely work with the Bus Operators to ensure students are protected when travelling in school buses Police to closely work with the Bus Operators to ensure students are protected when travelling in school buses Friday 05/02/2021 In an effort to ensure the safety and welfare of all students, the Ministry of Education, Police, the Fiji Bus Operators Association and LTA have met to address various issues that continue to affect students and parents around the country. Some of the discussions included a coordinated effort between authorities to ensure children are safely transported to school and back home. Police will now closely work with the bus operators to ensure students are protected when travelling in school buses and to ensure student safety, Police will conduct random inspections of school buses.

No bus services along Kings Highway as roads are still being cleared No bus services along Kings Highway as roads are still being cleared Wednesday 03/02/2021 Bus services will not provided along the Kings Highway today as the Fiji Bus Operators Association is still waiting for clearance from FRA. Fiji Bus Operators Association President Nisar Ali Shah says services along the Queens Highway will be provided. Shah says services in Labasa and Seaqaqa will resume today and buses will go to areas where the road network is clear. He says they look forward to resume all their services by the end of this week as school resumes on Monday.
