UP Fintech Raises $90 million Through a Private Placement

UP Fintech Holding Limited (NASDAQ: TIGR) an online brokerage firm that wants to service global investors, reports that a consortium of institutional investors has subscribed to purchase convertible notes in an aggregate principal amount of USD $90 million through a private placement. The convertible notes to be issued will mature in 2026 unless previously converted.
In February, UP announced that a group of investors led by an affiliate of
Xiaomi Corporation had subscribed to purchase convertible notes in an aggregate principal amount of US$65 million through a private placement.
The strategic cooperation agreement has been approved by the LGHL board of directors.

In January UP Fintech Holding Limited (NASDAQ: TIGR) also known as Tiger Brokers, climbed over 98% with little news from the company. However, this gain may be reflective of new awareness for the emerging value in Fintech oriented companies by market investors.

Midway through trading Thursday, the Dow traded up 0.84% to 30,981.73 while the NASDAQ rose 0.65% to 13,698.49. The S&P also rose, gaining 0.66% to 3,855.56.

In total, there were at least 104,484,970 cases of COVID-19 worldwide with over 2,271,230 deaths, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University.
