Spring Hill man, 39, struck and killed while riding bicycle on U.S. 19, troopers say
The collision occurred about 6:20 a.m. today as the bicyclist was headed west across U.S. 19 north of Hudson, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

HUDSON â A 39-year-old Spring Hill man was struck and killed by a car while trying to cross U.S. 19 at Fulton Avenue on his bicycle, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

MUSKEGON, Mich. â Officers responded to reports of a water emergency in Muskegon Lake this afternoon when a subject was found unresponsive upon arrival, according to the Muskegon Police Department.
We re told the discovery was made near Channel Avenue and Fulton Avenue.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities say, adding he was identified as a 69-year-old Norton Shores man.
Officials are currently awaiting an autopsy report from the medical examinerâs office.
The incident is currently under investigation.

The Quiet Streets program will see year-round improvements to local streets including traffic calming, speed limit reductions, implementation of safety zones, automated speed enforcement, and cycling route installations.
After consulting with city councillor s and community members, the streets chosen include Fulton Avenue, Sammon Avenue, Monarch Park Avenue and Woodfield Avenue.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says people fully vaccinated against COVID-19 can safely unmask almost everywhere and the reactions in New York are mixed.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is currently deliberating over whether to change New York’s mask policy, which still indicates that everyone who can “medically tolerate” a face covering must wear one in public if they’re unable to distance themselves from others. The state adopted the CDC’s last change on April 27th, relaxing mask usage for fully vaccinated people for some social gatherings.
Body found in water near Muskegon Lake channel

MUSKEGON, MI The body of a 69-year-old Norton Shores man was discovered in water near the Muskegon Lake channel, not far from the USS Silversides submarine museum.
Someone called 911 about 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 14 and reported seeing a body in the water.
Police and rescuers responded to the 3500 block of Fulton Avenue, along the Muskegon Lake shoreline, and found a person unresponsive in the water.
Authorities identified the person as a 69-year-old Norton Shores man.
Muskegon police continue to investigate the circumstances behind the man’s death.
