According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations, Marshals attempted to serve a warrant for a male subject wanted for first-degree murder in Douglas County. The GBI said a person inside a residence opened the door and a man inside fired at officers.Two law enforcement officers, one with the U.S. Marshals and another with the Fulton County Sheriff s Office returned fire, killing Haynes, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.Haynes was wanted in connection with the deadly shooting that killed Nomi Herrera.Omaha police said Herrera died from an apparent gunshot wound she suffered Oct. 29.
