The Fulbright Foreign Student Program enables graduate students, young professionals and artists from abroad to study and conduct research in the United States. The Fulbright Foreign Student Program operates in more than 155 countries worldwide. Approximately 4,000 foreign students receive Fulbright scholarships each year.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Applicants should be affiliated with an academic or non-academic professional institution in Africa and committed to work in their home institutions upon completion of the designated program;
• Nominees must have at least the equivalent of four (4) years of university study and the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree. Nominees that have three (3) years of tertiary study should have the equivalent of thirteen (13) years of primary and secondary school and their undergraduate degree should allow them to be eligible to pursue higher education in their home country. Fulbright Foreign Student Program (FFSP)
This program funds two years of graduate study in the United States towards the completion of a master’s degree. Applicants must have a master’s degree or a degree equivalent to the American bachelor’s degree and a TOEFL score of at least 575 (PBT) or 90 (iBT) points. master’s degree at a higher education institution in the United States for 2022-2023 academic year. The Fulbright funding is limited to TWO years.
The Fulbright Foreign Student Program is designed primarily to strengthen African universities and other institutions through graduate-level training.
To be eligible for the Fulbright Foreign Student Program, applicants must:
Be citizen or national of Madagascar or in the Union of the Comoros currently residing in their home country.
Hold a “Maîtrise” degree, M-1 with a degree, or the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree in the field of specialization. Please note a four-year degree is required; a certificate for completion of four university years will NOT be accepted.

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On December 19, 2020, Embassy of the United States in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and the Ministry of Education and Science virtually celebrated the 10th anniversary of the agreement establishing the Fulbright Foreign Student Program funded by the Government of Mongolia.
The four-hour online celebration featured six panel discussions and over 30 university presentations, attracted around 750 participants, and reached tens of thousands more on Facebook and other social media platforms.
The opening session was simulcast live on Facebook, reached over 11,500 people, and has been viewed over 5,600 times by Monday, December 21.
Ambassador of the United States to Mongolia Michael S. Klecheski and Minister of Education and Science of Mongolia H.E. Tsedevsuren Lkhagva participated in the opening of the virtual celebration.
