A Lexington man has been arrested in connection with a robbery that took place last week in southern Pulaski County, while another suspect remains under investigation.
Javonte Groves, 26, and Jalen Lamar Alcorn, 19, both of Lexington, were determined to be involved in the incident that took place at approximately 3:52 a.m. on Friday, January 22, according to the Pulaski County Sheriff s Office.
In that incident, an armed robbery on Prather Road, not far from the Slate Branch area, was reported to the 911 Dispatch Center. Sheriff s deputies arrived alongside Somerset Police officers were immediately dispatched to the victim s residence. Upon arrival, they learned that a male individual had come into a home on Prather Road armed with a handgun and robbed a man and his girlfriend, as well as another male friend who was visiting from Lexington, according to the sheriff s office.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Four former Kentucky daycare workers have been charged with abuse, police said.
All four worked at Eagle Creek Learning Academy in Lexington, police told news outlets.
Samantha Ayers, 32, Maurisa Sweat, 24, and Jazzmine Webb, 20, were charged with first-degree criminal abuse, police spokeswoman Brenna Angel said. Terri Thompson, 40, was charged with second-degree criminal abuse and failure to report abuse, Angel said.

One man arrested in connection to Tates Creek shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) â The Lexington Police Department announced on Thursday that it has charged a man in connection with a shooting that happened on Tates Creek Road. Joseph Ivy, 20, was arrested and charged with Wanton Endangerment 1

According to police, around 3:15 p.m. Thursday, January 14, officers responded to the intersection of Tates Creek and Rockbridge for a call of shots fired and a collision. Witnesses told police that one of the shooters got out of a wrecked car and fled on foot into a neighborhood. Following a foot pursuit, officers apprehended Ivy and located a firearm.
Lexington woman charged with murdering her 9-month-old son pleads not guilty

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) â A Lexington woman, charged with murder in the death of her infant child, has pleaded not guilty.
32-year-old Sammantha Moore made the plea during a Monday court hearing. The judge kept her bond at more than half a million dollars.
Moore was arrested by Lexington Police last week. Officers responded at about 10:40 a.m. Wednesday to an apartment on Centre Parkway where they found her 9-month-old son, Ocean, dead inside the home.
Police said the investigation found that Moore intentionally caused the death of her son by use of physical force.
