Three teens arrested after two stolen car incidents and two chases across multiple eastern Iowa counties
FAYETTE COUNTY, Iowa (KWWL) Three teens from Cedar Rapids led law enforcement on multiple chases both by car and on foot last Friday morning after two separate stolen car incidents, starting in Fayette County.
After receiving reports of teens driving a stolen car in Elgin, Fayette County deputies attempted to stop the vehicle after 3:30 a.m. on July 9, but the teens eluded until they crashed into a creek. The three teens fled on foot but one boy was caught.
The Fayette County Sheriff s Office says the two others, a boy and a girl, walked to a residence, and security footage shows them stealing a minivan around 5 a.m.
