Johnny Depp and Amber Heard will not be coming head to head in a court room any time soon.
Depp s US$50 million (NZ$67m) defamation lawsuit against Heard has been delayed again, with the former husband and wife set to face off in a courtroom come April 11, 2022.
The trial is expected to last two weeks but has already been rescheduled several times now.
Johnny Depp’s 50 million dollar US defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard has been delayed, until NEXT year. Depp is suing Amber, 34, in Virginia after she wrote an article in the Washington Post claiming to be a victim of domestic abuse.
The 57-year-old actor launched legal proceedings against her in March 2019 and after several delays, the case was set for trial in May this year. However, Fairfax County Circuit Court chief judge Bruce White has set a new date for 11th April 2022.
The high-profile trial, which was scheduled to last for 16 days, was previously delayed in September last year. The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star had requested it be pushed back to accommodate filming for the latest Fantastic Beasts movie, this was before he got dropped off the franchise.
The trial has been pushed to next year.

The former couple will now trade barbs and evidence starting April 11, 2022. Their trial is expected to last for two weeks and the have already rescheduled several times. Initially set to start May 7, the new date was decided Tuesday by Fairfax County Circuit Court Chief Judge Bruce White.
