(Shutterstock) BURKE, VA A virtual meeting is planned to discuss planned improvements at the Rolling Road Virginia Railway Express station in Burke. The Fairfax County Department of Transportation will host the meeting on Thursday, June 10 at 7 p.m. The transportation department will discuss its Rolling Road VRE Parking Lot Expansion project. A VRE representative will also be on hand to discuss the Rolling Road platform extension. The parking lot project includes adding 38 new parking spaces as well as sidewalk, curb and stormwater upgrades. Existing sidewalk will be replaced to meet ADA compliance. The curb along Burke Road will be extended to the east to prevent vehicles from parking along the road and in the grass area to the north of the existing parking lot.
