Patrol investigating fatal crash on Ohio 37

Lancaster Eagle-Gazette PLEASANT TOWNSHIP – A Lancaster woman was killed and three other people, including two children, were seriously injured in a head-on collision late Tuesday afternoon in Fairfield County. Kathleen M. Harmon, 73, of Lancaster, was traveling northbound on state Route 37 in a 2005 Ford Escape with two children on board when her vehicle was struck head-on near milepost 12 at around 4:57 p.m. by a 2008 Ford Expedition driven by Todd T. Stoughton, 50, of Baltimore, according to the Lancaster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Troopers said Stoughton s vehicle traveled left of center and struck the Ford Escape head on.  Harmon was pronounced dead at the scene. Two children in her vehicle a 13-year-old and a 9-year-old both suffered severe injuries and were transported to Nationwide Children s Hospital in Columbus.

(WOLO) – The Fairfield County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of a fatal vehicle collision this month. Coroner Chris Hill says Philip Wilson, 72, died from his injuries at a local hospital, following the collision on East Peach Road on December 11. According to investigators, he was traveling on the road after 12 p.m., when he lost control of his 2020 Ford SUV, went down an embankment and hit a tree. South Carolina Highway Patrol says he was wearing a seat belt but later died at Prisma Health Richland.

(WIS) - A 72-year-old man from Columbia died in a crash in Fairfield County, the coroner’s office confirmed. It happened Friday around noon on Peach Road, about five miles south of Winnsboro, the South Carolina Highway Patrol said. The driver of a Ford SUV lost control, ran off the road and down an embankment and hit a tree, officials said. That driver was identified as Phillip Wilson, 72, of Columbia. Crews rushed him to the hospital, but he later died.
