LANCASTER - Police say a man was shot during a robbery Tuesday around 1:50 p.m. They identified him as Mason Byron McGee, 22, of Lancaster. Lt. Brian Underwood said he believes McGee was treated and released from Fairfield Medical Center. Police said McGee told his girlfriend that he was robbed and assaulted in an alley just west of the 100 block of West Walnut Street.  Upon the call, police were dispatched to 122 West Chestnut St. The police report lists McGee as living in Apt. 1A of that address. Underwood said officers found guns and drugs there and are trying to determine what part they may have played in the shooting.
