Crisis as record number of children waiting more than a year for mental health treatment in Fife

The figure, which is for child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS), has exploded from under 5% in September to 22.7%. Claire is honoured as a Queen s Nurse

A SENIOR community mental health nurse from Dunfermline has been awarded the title of Queen’s Nurse.  Claire Adamson, who has been a nurse for the last 13 years, was selected earlier this year to take part in a nine-month development programme run by the Queen’s Nursing Institute Scotland (QNIS) – marking her as a leader in her field. Only a select few make the cut but she was nominated by her employers at NHS Fife for her critical thinking, strong leadership skills and holistic approach to assessment which ensures that those in her care always receive the very best outcomes.
