Bigger, rounder new commercial van and people-mover here by the end of this year
New Hyundai iLoad van and iMax people-mover models are finally on their way, 14 long years after the second-generation TQ was launched in 2007.
Snapped by Gyeongsoo Kim at Danyang in central South Korea, these spy shots show the big new Korean van testing on public roads with less camo than we saw last October.
The new Hyundai iLoad and iMax are both expected on sale in Australia by the end of this year, in addition to the 18 new or facelifted models or variants the Korean car-maker committed to releasing here by the end of 2021.

After JLR, Ford has also announced that all its vehicles for sale in Europe will be pure-electric by 2030. It is investing $1 billion in its Cologne (Köln) plant to make that a reality. This move will be supported by the sharing of the VW Group’s MEB electric vehicle platform.

With commercial vehicles, its goals are slightly less ambitious. There is no hard target to phase out combustion engines in commercial vehicles yet but Ford will electrify the range. By 2024, all models will have a plug-in hybrid or pure-electric version available and Ford expects two thirds of its commercial vehicle sales to be plug-in hybrid or pure electric by 2030.
A Bold Outlook

At first glance, there’s certainly no escaping the boldness of this redesign. Attention-grabbing frontal styling consists of a large rectangular grille and split-headlamps that feature thin horizontal LED DRL’s under the hood’s leading edge.
Going against the usual trend of having a small glasshouse-to-body ratio, the H1 flips the script by adopting a fish tank appearance with unusually tall side and rear windows. Minimalist sheet metal surfacing is refreshingly devoid of fussy styling flourishes, and the rear has a squared-off look with vertical LED taillights and a large spoiler.
