Sunday Drive: Peugeot Expert

SUPPLIED Peugeot also does electric versions of the Expert and Traveller vans. Could we see them here one day? Here s hoping. PEUGEOT EXPERT Base price: $54,990 (currently $39,990+GST) Powertrain and economy: 2.0-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder, 110kW/370Nm, 8-speed automatic, FWD, combined economy 6.3L/100km, CO2 164g/km (source: RightCar). Vital statistics: 4956mm long, 1920mm wide, 1895mm high, 3275mm wheelbase, load volume 5.3 cubic metres, 16-inch steel wheels. Vans are great. There, I said it. I love a good van, even though I have no actual practical use for one. but aside from parking in loading zones, a good modern fan is actually great fun to drive and Peugeot’s new Expert van takes that even further, thanks to a very car-like secret under its sheet metal. Quite literally, in fact.

The Ford Kuga plug-in hybrid SUV With commercial vehicles, its goals are slightly less ambitious. 2022 Hyundai H1 / Starex Van: Everything We Know About South Korea s Bold New Transit Rival

A Bold Outlook Illustrations Copyright Carscoops.com / Josh Byrnes At first glance, there’s certainly no escaping the boldness of this redesign. Attention-grabbing frontal styling consists of a large rectangular grille and split-headlamps that feature thin horizontal LED DRL’s under the hood’s leading edge. Going against the usual trend of having a small glasshouse-to-body ratio, the H1 flips the script by adopting a fish tank appearance with unusually tall side and rear windows. Minimalist sheet metal surfacing is refreshingly devoid of fussy styling flourishes, and the rear has a squared-off look with vertical LED taillights and a large spoiler.
