Phnom Penh, July 11 : Cambodia received new batches of Chinese Covid-19 vaccines, namely Sinovac and Sinopharm, on Saturday as the Covid-19 case total in the Southeast Asian nation neared the 60,000 mark.
Health ministry s secretary of state Yok Sambath said that the new arrivals included Sinovac vaccines purchased from biopharmaceutical firm Sinovac Biotech and Sinopharm jabs ordered from pharmaceutical company Sinopharm, the Xinhua news agency reported.

The government is considering administering a third dose to those who have received their second shot of vaccine against Covid-19 to boost their antibodies and determine how it can protect them from the new Delta coronavirus variant and its slightly mutated version Delta Plus, according to a senior health official.
