House Fire Charge – Kardinya
Arson Squad detectives have charged a man in relation to a house fire in Kardinya yesterday afternoon, Wednesday 17 February 2021.
About 4:10pm Police were advised of a house fire in Exley Close, Kardinya. Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel were already responding to the fire at that time.
A 37-year-old man, who is linked to the property, was arrested a short time later in Cottesloe.
A 37-year-old man from Kardinya has been charged with ‘Criminal Damage by Fire’. He was refused bail and is due to appear in the Fremantle Magistrates Court today, Thursday 18 February 2021.
Police will allege the former West Coast Eagles star and Brownlow Medal runner-up, 37, has links to an address in Kardinya where a fire broke out on Wednesday.

Former West Coast star Daniel Kerr has been arrested after allegedly setting fire to a Kardinya home on Wednesday afternoon.
The Brownlow Medal runner-up, whose father Roger lives in the area, is alleged to have set fire to the house in Exley Close about 4pm, with Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel attending the scene shortly after.
“About 4:10pm Police were advised of a house fire in Exley Close, Kardinya,” police said.
