Woman accused of killing wants confession stricken

RIVERTON A woman accused of killing her husband with a knife in their Pavillion home on Christmas Eve has asked to have her confession removed from trial evidence.
Through her attorney, Bennilee Strock argued Tuesday that she had asked for a lawyer prior to her confession but didn’t get one.
According to arguments made during a Tuesday suppression hearing in Fremont County District Court, the following discussion occurred between Strock and Fremont County Sheriff’s Office detective Anthony Armstrong after the latter allowed her to review her Miranda rights at the Riverton-based Sh.

(Fremont County, WY) – The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office released their Commission Report at the County Commissioner’s meeting today, April 13.
The Sheriff’s Office has responded to 1,800 calls for service this year, and saw a total of 91 bookings for the month of March. Of these bookings, 32 were for RPD, 29 for FCSO, 22 for LPD, 5 for WHP, and 5 for SPD.

The current inmate population sits at 169 in house, and 171 total (one juvenile occupant, and one previously reported casein the State Hospital awaiting further trial).
The Sheriff’s Office was under budget in the areas of Medical Services, Contractual Services, and Prisoners Board, and has also already “hit their projected revenue mark $147,000, and continues to receive unanticipated revenues at this time.”
