FREMONT - A Fremont man has been charged with first-degree felony rape after a woman reported her 12-year-old daughter was with a 20-year-old man.
Police responded to a North Prospect Street home around 11:47 p.m. Sunday after the mother of the 12-year-old girl said her daughter was at the home of Isaiah Hernandez after the mother had told him to cease contact with the adolescent.
When police questioned Hernandez, he said the girl was 18.
Fremont Police Officer Vincent Bocardo then asked Hernandez if he could speak to the girl, prompting the man to say she s not 12, you know that right.

The deceased male is identified as Aaron Schneider, 33, of Fremont. The investigation remains ongoing.

The incident occurred Friday afternoon, at approximately 3:25 p.m., when officers responded to a report of a male subject with a weapon threatening harm to himself. Preliminary investigation shows that the subject exited a residence in the 200 block of S. Clarmar Avenue in Fremont with a firearm. The subject fired at least one shot, to which multiple Fremont Police officers responded by discharging their weapons, striking the man.
