WINCHESTER â In an Oct. 29 interview, Anthony Alexander Natale insisted he hadnât beaten his 11-month-old son Anthony Natale Jr. to death in August of last year.
âAnybody who knows me knows this is not something I would do. This is completely bogus,â Natale told a Winchester Star reporter during an interview at the Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center in Frederick County. âAs far as being a monster and a baby killer, thatâs not me.â
But in a plea agreement on Tuesday in Frederick County Circuit Court, Natale admitted to his sonâs death.
Sierra Nicole Pendleton, Anthony Jr.âs mother, told police Natale grabbed the baby by the neck and threw him against a wall in the coupleâs Kassie Lane apartment on the morning of Aug. 2, 2019, according to Ross Spicer, county commonwealthâs attorney.
WINCHESTER â A man said he was chased and had shots fired at him after a drug-related encounter with the shooter.
The shooting reportedly occurred in the 200 block of Brookland Terrace in Frederick County around 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 29. Details were released in a search warrant affidavit on Tuesday in Frederick County Circuit Court.
The affidavit, written by Deputy Sam A. Beylor of the county Sheriffâs Office, seeks information from the manâs phone. The man identified the shooting suspect to police, but The Winchester Star isnât publishing his name because he hasnât been charged with a crime. The suspect has an extensive but nonviolent criminal record.
