On Wednesday, Dec. 9, at approximately 10 a.m. the Frederick County Sheriffâs Office (FCSO) received a call for service for a missing 13-year-old boy from the Discovery neighborhood in Walkersville. FCSO deputies, investigators, K-9 and the Maryland State Police Trooper 3 helicopter immediately responded and started the search.

WINCHESTER â A man said he was chased and had shots fired at him after a drug-related encounter with the shooter.
The shooting reportedly occurred in the 200 block of Brookland Terrace in Frederick County around 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 29. Details were released in a search warrant affidavit on Tuesday in Frederick County Circuit Court.
The affidavit, written by Deputy Sam A. Beylor of the county Sheriffâs Office, seeks information from the manâs phone. The man identified the shooting suspect to police, but The Winchester Star isnât publishing his name because he hasnât been charged with a crime. The suspect has an extensive but nonviolent criminal record.
