Replay Video UP NEXT The city of Fresno, California, has agreed to settle two federal civil rights lawsuits in less than a month stemming from fatal police shootings, including one in which a teenager suspected of being involved in a homicide was shot in the back of the head on the property of a child daycare center, officials said. The Central California city of just over 500,000 people announced a tentative $4.9 million settlement in the 2017 police shooting of 16-year-old Isiah Murrietta-Golding just days after announcing it was settling a lawsuit for $4.4 million in the 2015 fatal police shooting of 45-year-old Casimero Shane Casillas.

Veronica Catalina Cortes-Ambrosio, 53, of Madera, Calif., was charged on two felony counts of insurance fraud after allegedly lying about physical limitations from an injury at work in an attempt to receive undeserved workers’ compensation benefits.
An investigation by the California Department of Insurance revealed on May 6, 2017, Cortes-Ambrosio was working for a farm labor company when she was struck with a gardening tool by a co-worker resulting in injuries to her right shoulder, neck and back. She was evaluated and received initial treatment for the alleged injuries, but the workers’ comp claim she filed was denied.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. â Thursday, former Monsignor Craig Harrison addressed the media regarding the allegations against him along with the lawsuit he filed against the Diocese of Fresno. Harrison said that he feels stepping down is one of his only options and he is ready to start living his life again.
âI am announcing that I am resigning as a pastor at St Francis Parish,â said Harrison.
