The Central California city of just over 500,000 people announced a tentative $4.9 million settlement in the 2017 police shooting of 16-year-old Isiah Murrietta-Golding just days after announcing it was settling a lawsuit for $4.4 million in the 2015 fatal police shooting of 45-year-old Casimero Shane Casillas.

Two men are wanted in a shooting in a vineyard near Fresno, CA, that left one man dead and two seriously injured.

The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office received a report of shots fired in a vineyard at about 7:30 a.m. Friday. Deputies responded to the field located near S. Butte and W. Chandler Ave., northwest of Huron. They found one man shot to death. Two other men who suffered multiple gunshot wounds were airlifted to the hospital. One is listed in critical condition, the other is in serious condition. The two suspects fled the area in a car.

One man died and two others were seriously injured after a shooting at a Fresno vineyard Friday morning, authorities said.
At least five men were pruning grapes at a vineyard roughly 50 miles southwest of the city, near South Butte and West Chandler avenues, when the shooting started about 7:30 a.m., authorities said.
“Some kind of disturbance broke out that caused two of them [to start] shooting the group,” said Tony Botti, a spokesman for the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.
Missing man, 84, found dead in remote California woods

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) An 84-year-old man who went missing last week has been found dead, the Fresno County Sheriff s Office said Sunday.
Augusto Zarate had been vacationing at a cabin near Huntington Lake, the Fresno Bee reported.
The man s body was found Saturday by ground search teams in a remote, wooded area east of the lake. The body was located about a mile (1.6 kilometers) away from his cabin, the newspaper reported.
The cause of death has yet to be determined. There was no visible trauma to his body when discovered, the Fresno County Sheriff s Office said.
