The shortages are increased by demands from firefighting and commercial aircraft as well as issues in supply chain, leading to flights being disrupted at airports around the Pacific Northwest, AP reported. At Fresno Yosemite International Airport, fewer jet fuel deliveries from tanker truck drivers led to shortages, ultimately affecting flights in and out of the airport, the wire service noted. At Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport, flight delays and departure problems ensued because firefighting aircraft and commercial airlines had an increased demand for jet fuel.
