Holloway Named Candidate for Senior CLASS Award share NOTRE DAME, Indiana Senior pitcher Alexis Holloway has been named one of 30 candidates for the softball Senior CLASS Award, recognizing Division I seniors with notable achievements in community, classroom, character and competition.  Holloway is off to an impressive start in 2021, owning a 0.00 ERA after opening weekend. She totaled 112 pitches (7.0 IP) and 10 strikeouts, allowing just one hit on the weekend. In 2020, she ranked second in the ACC with a 1.09 ERA. She led the ACC in fewest hit batters (three), sac. bunts per game (0.18) and saves (2) that season. She also led the Irish in 2020 with a 1.09 ERA and 83.2 IP, throwing five complete games and recording two saves. 

Irish Volleyball Spring Schedule Unveiled

NOTRE DAME, Ind. After a 6-1 fall campaign, the thirteenth-ranked Notre Dame volleyball team is set to return to action with a 12-game spring slate that was announced Tuesday (Feb. 16) by head coach Mike Johnson. “More than anything, we are grateful to be able to play,” said Johnson. “This is an unorthodox season in an unprecedented time and we are thankful for the extraordinary work of so many in bringing us to this point. I look forward to honoring their efforts with our play. This team is excited to get back on the court!” The Irish return to action this Thursday, February 18 with a home match against Valparaiso before 11 consecutive contests against ACC opponents.
