By cher best Apr 27, 2021 It was a violent marred weekend in the CSRA and it began last Friday with a double homicide. On Friday authorities discovered the bodies of Destiny Hope Kight, 18, of Wrightsville and Charles Jaylon Garrett, 18, of East Dublin. They died from apparent gunshot wounds. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called in to help investigate. Early Saturday, an 18 year old was shot and killed while sitting in a vehicle with another teen near an apartment complex on Barnwell Avenue at Kershaw Street in Aiken SC. The victim, Joseph Copeland was later taken to the Aiken County Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

There he served as a trustee, a member of the choir, Sunday school superintendent, a member of the Courtesy Committee and a member of the Food Committee. He was an avid attendant of Bible Study and Vacation Bible School. Kerry graduated from Louisville High School on June 4, 1973 and furthered his education at Augusta College, East Georgia College and Georgia College.

(WIS) - The Aiken County Coroner’s Office has identified a bicyclist who died after being struck by two vehicles. The accident occurred on March 15 shortly before 8:30 p.m. Officials say the bicyclist was struck by two vehicles that were traveling east-bound on Pine Log Road. The bicyclist, 39-year-old Artemio Garcia, was transported from the scene to Augusta University Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.
