AUGUSTA Augusta police say a man arrested Thursday on a charge of criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon had threatened to kill a woman while brandishing a gun earlier in the week.
Ray C. Mack, 27, was scheduled to make his initial appearance in court Friday at the Capitol Judicial Center in Augusta on both the criminal threatening charge and a charge of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

AUGUSTA The driver who hit and killed three pedestrians in Augusta last Thursday afternoon, including a 1-year-old girl in a stroller, told police he fell asleep at the wheel.
Augusta police, Maine State Police, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, and Homeland Security, searched a Waldo Street home Thursday, and arrested Ray Mack on a charge of threatening.
