CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â Corpus Christi Vector Control program has notified the public of the detection of West Nile Virus in three mosquito pools scattered across the city.
The pools that were detected were found at the 400 block of Bartlett Drive Street, the 3300 block of Longview, and the 1000 block of Bobalo Drive.
West Nile is a viral disease spread to people through the bite of an infected mosquito.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â It s a persistent problem plaguing the city of Corpus Christi since as long as most can remember.homelessness.
So what is being done to help the countless men, women, and children who call the streets home?
We went searching to see if the cityâs newest initiative is working.
âIt s hard and I m struggling,â Kimberly Davault told me recently as she and her boyfriend walked around the city. A hard life, she says, since sheâs been living on the streets of Corpus Christi since 2014.
Pandemic rent, utility aid extended
Those receiving support within city limits may reapply
People who have already received assistance through the Emergency Rental Assistance program can now reapply for additional rent and utility support.
The Emergency Rental Assistance program is designed to help those struggling to pay rent and utility bills because of challenges brought on by the coronavirus pandemic, a city Community Development news release said Wednesday.
More than 1,450 households have received $4.9 million through the program, and an additional $500,000 was recently approved for the program. Applications for Fort Wayne residents in need are still being accepted.
