Security agencies will deal with NDC protesters who misbehave – Minister
Interior Minister Ambrose Dery has issued a barrage of stern warnings to supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who are protesting across the country without recourse to the law governing such acts.
According to him, the government will not relent to punish any of the protesters who misbehave and fall short of the law while protesting.
He acknowledged that it is within their right to protest on the streets to drum home their grievances but as they do that they should ensure that they do it within the remits of the law.
Disquiet among officers as DCE leads attack on policeman in the Central Region
There is widespread agitation among police officers in the Ajumako/Enyan/Essiam District town of Orchiso after the District Chief Executive (DCE) of the area led an attack on one of their colleagues.
Police in the Central Region said on Monday that the said officer G/Corporal Frank Mensah is receiving treatment at the Ajumako Hospital.
The DCE, Ransford Kwesi Nyarko, has since been admitted to bail after spending hours in police custody.

Two injured as supporters of NDC, NPP clash in Jomoro
Security has been tightened in the Western Region town of Bonyere in the Jomoro Constituency after a clash between supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Thursday night.
The incident which occurred close to the home of the NDC Member of Parliament-elect Dorcas Affo Toffey left two persons injured, police in the Western Region said on Friday morning.

Western Region Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Olivia Adiku told Accra-based Joy News that the violence erupted when supporters of the two main political parties were engaging in a ‘victory walk’.
