A traffic stop in Greater Napanee has ended with impairment charges.
Lennox and Addington County OPP responded to a report late Friday evening of an erratic driver on Highway 401 westbound near the Greater Napanee exit.
The vehicle exited the 401 and police initiated a traffic stop on County Road 41. Police found the driver to be showing signs on impairment.
After administered an Approved Screening Device, the driver was arrested and transported to detachment for processing.
L&A County OPP have charged a 66 year old Greater Napanee man with operation while impaired – alcohol and drug and operating a motor vehicle while over legal blood alcohol limit.
A two vehicle collision in Greater Napanee ended with impairment charges.
Last Friday evening, officers with Lennox and Addington County OPP responded to the report on County Road 9.
An investigation revealed that a Green Mazda vehicle lost control and collided with a Black Mazda vehicle on County Road 9, just south of Township Road 9 in Greater Napanee. Police determined that the driver of the Green Mazda was showing signs of impairment. An Approved Screening Device was administered and the driver was subsequently arrested and transported to detachment for processing. One driver suffered minor injuries.
As a result of the investigation L&A County OPP have charged a 23-year-old from Stone Mills Township with operation while impaired and operating a motor vehicle while over legal blood alcohol limit.

The Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is thanking a concerned citizen for calling in an unsafe driver, which led to an impaired driving charge in the Town of Orangeville.
On April 11, 2021, at approximately 9:49 p.m., an officer responded to a traffic complaint. The officer located the vehicle in the area of County Road 109 and County Road 3 in Orangeville, initiated a traffic stop and commenced an impaired driving investigation.
The driver provided a breath sample into an Approved Screening Device (ASD), which resulted in a “fail” reading. The driver was placed under arrest for Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration over 80 mg, and transported to the Dufferin OPP Detachment for further testing.

On March 29, at approximately 1:13 a.m., officers from the Caledon Detachment of the OPP, along with Caledon Fire responded to a vehicle fire on Healey Road in the Town of Caledon.
Once the fire was extinguished, a deceased person was located inside the vehicle. Caledon OPP, the Coroner’s Office and the Ontario Fire Marshall are investigating the cause of death. A post mortem is scheduled at the Centre of Forensic Sciences (CFS) in Toronto.
Healey Road was closed between Airport and Innis Lake Roads from approximately 1:25 a.m. to 10 a.m.
