These include the immediate suspension of point-to-point (P2P) flights for leisure purposes, the DOT said in a statement.
It said returning flights will be only allowed for tourists residing in the National Capital Region (NCR), Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal–collectively known as the NCR-plus.
To further prevent congestion in the borders of NCR, the DOT said that any type of “non-essential travel” to and from the NCR-plus shall be prohibited and that only Authorized Persons Outside their Residences (APORs) in and out of the bubble shall be allowed.
Meanwhile, the DOT reminded indoor tourist attractions and DOT-accredited accommodation establishments to halt their operations and stop accepting leisure guests within the NCR-plus starting Friday, July 30, regardless of the date of booking.
Travel ban on non-residents extended until August 7
