Planning for the 2021 summer program at the Ankeny-Kirkendall Public Library is well underway.
The theme of the program this summer is “Reading Colors Your World. The Summer Reading Program will run from June 2-July 31 and is open to all ages. The Library will host two drive-thru pick up times for all you need to get started on June 2 from 4-7 pm and June 3 from 11 am – 1 pm. If you are unable to pick up your materials at these times, packets will be available inside the library beginning June 3 at 1 pm in the HOLDS area. Stay tuned for more details.
Iowa Libraries Adventure Pass available online Ankeny Kirkendall Library
The Ankeny Kirkendall Public Library, in partnership with the Friends of the Ankeny Library group, is one of many metro libraries that offers the Iowa Libraries Adventure Pass to its community.
The Adventure Pass allows the library to provide free passes to area attractions using a library card. Enjoy an educational day of family fun at Blank Park Zoo, the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden, or the Science Center of Iowa.
Adult residents within the 50021 and 50023 zip codes with fewer than $5 in fines are eligible to borrow a pass on a first-come, first-served basis. Each pass is good for admission of up to two adults and two children and can be used once every 365 days. Reserve your pass online and find out more information by visiting ankenyiowa.gov.
