The Oregon Health Authority reported 367 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, both confirmed and presumptive. The report brings the total number of cases diagnosed in the state to158,644 since the pandemic began. Asante begins offering antibody treatment for COVID-19 patients
Asante said that it is one of four healthcare providers in Oregon offering the monoclonal antibody treatment, due to emergency use approval from the FDA.

ASHLAND, Ore. Asante announced on Wednesday that it is now offering monoclonal antibody treatment for coronavirus patients following emergency use approval of the experimental treatments by the FDA.
“The treatment can have a significant impact on the severity of symptoms people experience as well as help reduce the need for more intense hospital-related interventions,” said Lee Shapley, MD, administrator at Asante Ashland Community Hospital. “By treating people at the early onset of their COVID diagnosis, this therapy can help people recover faster with fewer lingering effects of the disease and keep more people out of the hospital.”

Laurie Davis, 30, and her husband Tyler, 33, welcomed their daughter Iris Anne Davis at 4:14 a.m. on Friday morning.

ASHLAND, Ore. Asante welcomed the first southern Oregon baby of the new year in the early hours of Friday morning, the medical provider announced.
30-year-old Laurie Davis and her husband, 33-year-old Tyler Davis, said hello to their daughter Iris Anne Davis at 4:14 a.m. on Friday. She weighed 8 pounds, 2 ounces at birth and measured 20 inches long.
Iris is the Talent couple s first child, and Asante said that they have been married for a little over one year. Laurie grew up in the Sams Valley area, and Tyler is a Talent native.
