Oregon reports 2 more COVID-19 related deaths, 455 new cases
PORTLAND, Ore. (KTVZ) There are two new COVID-19 related deaths in Oregon, raising the state’s death toll to 2,208, the Oregon Health Authority reported Saturday.
OHA also reported 455 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19 as of 12:01 a.m. Saturday, bringing the state total to 155,315.
Vaccinations in Oregon
OHA reported that 32,288 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added Saturday to the state immunization registry. Of this total, 24,926 doses were administered on Friday and 7,362 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Friday.
Cumulative daily totals can take several days to finalize because providers have 72 hours to report doses administered and technical challenges have caused many providers to lag in their reporting. Asante receives $5 million donation toward new cancer center
The new cancer center will be named after Mary and Dick Heimann, who made the largest donation to the Asante Foundation in its history.

MEDFORD, Ore. Asante has a name for its new cancer center following a $5 million donation the largest in the medical provider s history from local philanthropists.
The 80,000 square-foot Heimann Cancer Center, named after Mary and Dick Heimann, has been under development since at least 2019. Asante says that construction is currently underway, and the new building is slated to open in early 2022.

There are seven new COVID-19 related deaths in Oregon, raising the state’s death toll to 1,998 and the Oregon Health Authority reported 730 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 145,320.
The number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 261, which is five fewer than Thursday. There are 58 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit (ICU) beds, which is five fewer than Thursday.
Today, OHA reported that 15,173 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of this total, 11,519 doses were administered on Feb. 3 and 3,654 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Feb. 3.
