On Tuesday, the Town of Littleton employees received a holiday bonus.
During a meeting in April discussing the budget, Finance Commissioner Lynn Moseley proposed a holiday bonus in recognition of the staff and in appreciation of the Town of Littleton employees. They received a bonus in the amount of each employeeâs one week salary, full- and part-time.
Mayor K. Owen Scott said the bonus was well received.
âWe found a way to get it in there to give a little bit of love,â he said.
Moseley said, âWe wanted them to know we appreciate them and that was the best way to do it.â
Businesses, homes and town centers glow with their efforts. Theyâve found the holiday spirit.
Now, itâs your turn. Bundle up, head out and look up for signs of good cheer.
Have a Holiday Lights Scavenger Hunt, and have some socially distanced fun.
Hereâs what you need to know:
Set the mood. Thereâs minimal prep work for this self-guided trip. Before hopping into the car for a night of sightseeing, fill travel mugs of hot chocolate (a piece of candy cane is optional), cue up a playlist or radio station for festive, sleigh-bell filled music, and donât forget to bring a cellphone or camera.

While some of us live in Arlington and know what it has to offer, it may have been a while for many of you reading this column. With a thriving downtown at its center, the Arlington experience includes art, coffee, craft beer, dining, shopping, and more, and it extends east to where it melds with Grand Prairie and west to where it meets Pantego. Check out the calendar at DowntownArlngton.org and plan accordingly. Meanwhile, here are a few great event choices.
From 5:30pm to 8:30pm on Thu, Arlington Parks & Recreation hosts Jingle Bell Drive-Thru at the Dottie Lynn Rec Center (3200 Norwood Ln, 817-277-5001), where children can meet Santa and take a socially distanced professional picture with him. (A link to the photos is emailed after the event.) Each participant also receives a North Pole Christmas Treat before they leave. The cost is $5 per child. Register to attend at bit.ly/JingleBellDri
