The Kerala Congress led by P C Thomas on Wednesday quit the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The former Union Minister alleged that his party was being neglected by the BJP-led alliance in the allocation of seats for upcoming assembly elections in the state.

Mumbai: BJP leader and former Union minister Dilip Gandhi died at a hospital in New Delhi on Wednesday, family sources said. He was 69.
Gandhi had served as the Minister of State for Shipping in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee-led central government.
Former Union Minister and BJP leader, Dilip Gandhi passed away at a private hospital in Delhi. He had tested positive for #COVID19 and was under treatment.

Kochi: Just weeks ahead of Assembly elections in Kerala, PC Thomas-led Kerala Congress snapped ties with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) after not getting a single seat for contesting the upcoming polls.
Thomas, a former Union minister, alleged that his party was sidelined by the BJP-led alliance when the seats were allocated for the April 6 polls.
The faction led by Thomas would merge with the Kerala Congress headed by senior leader PJ Joseph, which is a part of the Congress-led United Democratic Front.
