CAMC kicks off construction of new education facility By April 16, 2021 - 1:32 pm CHARLESTON, W.Va. Charleston Area Medical Center on Friday launched its fundraising campaign and celebrated the start of construction for the hospital’s Center for Learning and Research. It’s called the CAMC Foundation Knowledge at the Center of Care Campaign. CAMC President and CEO Dave Ramsey said the facility is critical to the hospital’s future as they continue to add training programs and educate the specialists who will serve Central and Southern West Virginia patients in the future. “It’s hard to recruit physicians to CAMC to get the talent we need in Central West Virginia, so we’ve taken the approach we’ll grow our own,” Ramsey explained.
