Wednesday, 28 July 2021, 11:22 am The Ministry of Health needs to urgently improve its oversight of services for people with an intellectual disability and high and complex needs, says Chief Ombudsman Peter Boshier. Mr Boshier today released Oversight, his investigation report into the Ministry of Health’s oversight of the High and Complex Framework. The Framework is a network of hospital and community services for people with an intellectual disability in secure or supervised care. Wednesday, 28 July 2021, 11:10 am Master Plumbers is telling the Government to stop turning a blind eye to compelling evidence that New Zealanders are being put at serious health risk by drinking water with high levels of lead. The comments follow the release of a report from the Dunedin City Council into why drinking water in Karitane and Waikouaiti contained elevated levels of lead.
