Temporary Delay from Covid-19 Relaunch Kicks for Kids

FLORENCE – The Listerhill Foundation relaunched its Kicks For Kids program recently with the announcement that it will be providing a new pair of brand name shoes to each child at Harlan Elementary School in Florence. The program began in January of 2020, but had to be put on hold because of COVID-19.  Harlan Elementary School principal, Dr. Thomas Casteel, is delighted. He explained, “This is a tremendous reward for our pupils who have overcome so much this year. They will now have a pair of shoes to carry them through the summer which can be a particularly vulnerable time for many kids.”  The shoe drop will take place next month in partnership with California-based, Shoes That Fit. Since their founding in 1992, Shoes That Fit has provided over 2 million pair of shoes to children across the US.
