She entered the U.S. Air Force in August of 2003, and after the completion of Basic Military Training, attended Airfield Management Technical Training Course at Keesler, Air Force Base, Miss. During her career she has held positions as training manager, non-commissioned officer in charge, section chief, flight chief and airfield manager managing day to day operations at multiple airfields worldwide. Johnson was recently recognized for her promotion to the top enlisted tier. Historically, less than 10 percent of the enlisted force make it to the senior non-commissioned officer echelon.
