DepEd continues to strengthen basic education learning continuity plan

(Photo from DepEd Philippines)  The DepEd Central Office (CO) formally turned over gadgets and a service vehicle to the Schools Division Office (SDO) Iloilo Province to help in the delivery of service under the distance learning set-up implemented this school year. The gadgets and the service vehicle were formally received by Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) Dr. Roel Bermejo and other officials of the Supreme Student Government Federation.

One year after, schools remain closed but education continues

DepEd cites best practices of its local offices in support of blended learning

(MANILA BULLETIN) In particular, DepEd cited the initiatives of its regional office in Cagayan Valley. In a virtual visit of Education Secretary Leonor Briones, the schools divisions also shared their best practices and strategies in the implementation of the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP). Region II Director Benjamin Paragas noted that one of the most effective initiatives is the “Project PROVIDE” or Providing Resources Offline: Various Interactive Developed Educational Instructional Materials (IMs). This stood out as the main and frontline project as it offers both an online and offline mechanism in harnessing and providing learning materials that can be accessed by learners in all walks of life.

To provide support for blended learning, DepEd Region II shared its school divisions’ best practices and strategies in the implementation of the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP). The School Divisions in region also showcased best practices to support blended learning. They pointed out how “strong partnership, open communication, teamwork for innovation, and commitment and dedication” bring about change and impact.
