Green Influencersâ fund to inspire young people in the Dales to follow in Greta Thunberg s footsteps
Rosie Russell-Cohen, who will take on the role of ‘green mentor’ for the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust.
She will work with young people, aged 10 to 14 year old, to influence what goes on in their communities with the hope they will make a r YOUNG people across the Dales will be inspired to follow in Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg’s footsteps thanks to funding from The Ernest Cook Trust national educational charity. The Clapham based Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust (YDMT) has received funding to support the employment of a ‘Green Mentor’ who will be tasked with enabling young people to lead the way as ‘Green Influencers’ on social action projects in their communities across Craven and the Dales.

38 debris screens cleared and the risk of flooding reduced
Over the last twelve months, our Operations Team have removed blockages and cleared debris screens throughout the local area. Although this activity falls under general maintenance, it is perhaps some of the most vital work we can do to help reduce flood risk to the community by ensuring the rivers and streams of Rochdale and Bury remain clear.
