On January 26, 2021, the Grant Contract for “Project for Provision of Garbage Containers and Collection Vehicle to Enhance Capacity for Waste Management in Ijevan City” in the amount of USD 76,960 within the framework of Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) of Japan was signed by Mr. Jun Yamada, Ambassador of Japan to Armenia and Dr. Mkhitar Mnatsakanyan,President of Armenian Red Cross Society. The ceremony took place in the presence of Mr. Hayk Ghalumyan, the Acting Mayor of Ijevan city and Mr. Nikolay Grigoryan, Adviser to Tavush Governor.

Japan Supports Medical Equipment through Grass-roots Human Security Project
Format
On 18 January 2021, the Government of Japan extended a grant of USD 68,633, which is approximately BDT 5.49 million to Dhaka Community Hospital Trust (DCHT). Ambassador ITO Naoki signed ‘Grant Contracts’ for Grass-roots Human Security Projects (GGHSP) at the Embassy of Japan with Mr. Omar Sharif Ibne Hasan, Director of Central Coordination Committee of DCHT.
DCHT has been awarded the grant for “The Project for Provision of Medical Equipment to Support Neonatal and Child Healthcare in Dhaka District”. DCHT has been providing primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare services with participation of the community, as well as developing skilled human resources in the health delivery services sector. With the assistance of the GGHSP funding, DCHT will procure and install medical equipment to provide neonatal and child healthcare services in Dhaka Community Hospital. Newborn and pediatric patients

The Japanese government has provided $187,700 to two provinces for the installation of a small pipe water supply system and for constructing a school building under the framework of the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (KUSANONE).
The water supply project on Koh Peam Reang in Prey Veng province has been granted a budget of $96,800.
