DENVER (AP) Authorities have launched a search for the person who threw a small dog out of a moving vehicle while on a highway in northeastern Colorado earlier this week.
The Jefferson County sheriff s office responded to a witness report on Tuesday around 1:45 p.m. that a dog was thrown from a black sedan on Interstate 76 before Sheridan Boulevard, KMGH-TV reported Tuesday.
Witnesses told police it appeared the miniature poodle was deliberately thrown. Authorities said the dog was taken to Foothills Animal Shelter in critical condition where it later died.

CRIPPLE CREEK, Colo. â The small Cripple Creek-Victor Re-1 School District is the latest institution to receive an outrageously high energy bill.
The bill was apparently related to the deep freeze that hit Texas over President s Day weekend, which triggered large jumps in the price of natural gas. I opened our February bill and looked at it, and I said, that can t be right, said Tammy Bruntz, the school district s finance director.
