The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office and the Kansas Department of Labor are partnering to assist victims of identify fraud.
The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in numerous residents having their identities stolen by individuals who use them to falsely claim unemployment benefits. In turn, this causes the victim’s identity to be flagged by the KDOL.
The Sheriff’s Office is now working with the KDOL to restore the identity of victims.
Any Sedgwick County resident who was informed by the Department of Labor that their identity was used to file for unemployment benefits
