Fred Dolgon, peace activist and member of Green Independent Party, dies at 91 The Old Orchard Beach resident was passionate about politics and wanting to make the world a better place for all people. Photo courtesy Jacqui Deveneau Fred Dolgon, a passionate supporter of Maine’s Green Independent Party, who fought tirelessly for workers’ rights and environment issues, died Sunday after a period of declining health. He was 91. Mr. Dolgon, a peace activist who was beloved in the Old Orchard Beach area, ran unsuccessfully for a seat in the Maine Legislature representing District 31 in 2002. A New York native, Mr. Dolgon moved to Maine around 1994 and lived in Old Orchard Village Mobile Home Park. He joined Maine’s Green Independent Party and was active in the local York County Green Independent Committee.

Mrs. Geisenhainer was born April 13, 1919, in Bronx, N.Y., the daughter of Anna Maynes and Robert Levis. She was raised in Union City, N.J. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Upsala College in East Orange, N.J. In her 20s, Elizabeth worked as an executive secretary for the National Oil Company in Buffalo, N.Y., taught at the Bryant and Stratton Business School, and married her high school sweetheart, Walter George Geisenhainer, with whom she had two children.
