Masdar ties up with Chinese engineering group on renewable energy projects ABU DHABI, January 21, 2021 Masdar, one of the world’s leading renewable energy companies, and China Gezhouba Group International Engineering Company (CGGC INTL), have signed an agreement to explore potential areas of collaboration on renewable energy projects worldwide.   The MoU was signed at a virtual ceremony today (January 21), as part of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2021, taking place virtually in the UAE capital this week.    ADSW, which has been reimagined as a virtual event for 2021, has featured a series of high-level virtual events, including the ADSW Summit, IRENA Assembly, Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Forum, Atlantic Council Global Energy Forum, Youth 4 Sustainability Virtual Forums and the World Future Energy Summit Webinars.

Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, CEO of Masdar and Bruno Bensasson, CEO of EDF Renewables, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at a virtual ceremony held on the side lines of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2021. Under the agreement, Masdar and EDF Renewables Israel, a wholly owned subsidiary established in 2010, will look to collaborate on existing renewable energy projects, and projects under development, while also exploring joint participation in new programs announced by the government of Israel.
