The U.S. Air Force, which supervises the Space Force, will announce its choice for the permanent Space Command headquarters in early 2021, and the decision is one it must get right.
It is clear that if the United States is ever forced to fight a war against China, Russia, or, later, nations such as Iran or North Korea, that conflict may be won or lost in space. So, locating the command headquarters properly now, to get maximum effectiveness, is crucial.
